About Noblis

Noblis. For the best of reasons.

What do you get when some of the brightest minds in science, technology and strategy come together in an environment that has just the right mix of freedom and rigor, objectivity and passion?

You get remarkable ideas that become long-lasting solutions to some of our nation’s most complex and enduring systems, process and infrastructure problems.

We are Noblis, a nonprofit organization with a unique mission to use the best of science, technology and strategy to serve the public good. Formerly known as Mitretek Systems, our name has changed, but our purpose and values never will.

Our objectivity sets us apart and sets us free.

Noblis is unique even among nonprofits because when we sit down to solve a problem, there are no strings attached to our thinking. We have no commercial interests to advance, no vendor alliances to protect, and no sponsors to represent. So we are free to focus on what matters most—finding the solution that works best.

Our objectivity and independence make Noblis the trusted advisor clients want sitting beside them at the table. They are assured that our counsel and implementation support reflects the best the entire organization has to offer and is purely in their best interest and the public’s.

Wider view. Better solutions.

At Noblis, our staff of senior-level scientists, analysts, engineers, researchers, technology and management experts draws on the best that scientific and strategic thinking have to offer to solve society’s most essential problems in innovative, effective and lasting ways.

Many Noblis people have had vast experience in federal, state and local government, as well as many leading organizations in private and nonprofit sectors. Our greater depth and breadth enable us to discover opportunities and uncover risks others miss and leverage similarities, differences and interdependencies across domains on behalf of our clients.

In collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams, we work diligently to get at the real issues facing clients; help them to impartially weigh the options; and ensure that program implementation is practical, sound, substantive and sustainable. When you engage Noblis, you can expect work that delivers on its missions today and stands the test of time.
