2008
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) presented its 2008 Economic Stimulus award to Noblis for outstanding leadership development.
The Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) presented Noblis with the 2008 CARE (Companies As Responsive Employers) Award.
Noblis received the 2008 Corporate Scholars Program Employer award from the University of Maryland's College of Computer Mathematical and Physical Sciences for participation and support.
Noblis was one of five technology associations selected for the capital area 2008 Green Leadership Awards sponsored by Bisnow on Business, the Tower Companies, the U.S. Green Building Council � National Capital Region, and the George Washington University.
2007
- For the fourth consecutive year, Noblis was awarded the 2007-2008 Fairfax County Business Recycling Excellence Award.
- Noblis recognized by Northern Virginia Family Service as a company who cares about its employees and awarded the 2007 CARE (Companies As Responsive Employers) Award.
- Noblis recognized as one of the nation�s 2007 "Best Employers" for workers over 50 by AARP.
- Noblis received the Career Connections Award from the superintendent of the Fairfax County School Board for our business-education partnership with Kilmer Middle School.
- The Noblis video, "Revolutionizing Recall Management," received the Award of Distinction from The Communicator Awards.
- For the third year in a row, Noblis won the Fairfax County Solid Waste Business recycling award for our innovative waste reduction, recycling and reuse program.
2006
- Noblis received AARP�s 2006 Best Employers for Workers Over 50 award. Noblis also received the award in 2002, 2004, and 2005. Noblis was recognized for embracing the changing demographics and developing outstanding approaches for attracting and retaining mature, experienced workers.
- Noblis was named one of the top 2006 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America. The list was announced on June 26th before an audience of more than 12,000 at the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) 58th Annual Conference & Exposition in Washington, DC.
- The 2005 annual report won the 2006 Communicator Award of Excellence.
- Fairfax County Division of Solid Waste and Recycling Division presented Noblis with the Fairfax County 2006 Business Recycling Award for the second consecutive year.
- The Regional Pawn Database System developed by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) has been selected to receive a "Leadership in Technology" Award by the International Chiefs of Police (IACP). Noblis� Center for Criminal Justice Technology assisted the COG with the requirements for this system and also assisted COG in obtaining a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Services office to implement the project.
- Patrick Gerdes was recognized as a Black Engineer of the Year, Special Recognition Award Winner at the Black Engineer of the Year Conference.
- Washingtonian Magazine selected more than 50 employers that offer great pay and benefits, interesting work, flexible schedules, and a chance to learn and grow as a great place to work. Noblis made the list as one of the best places to work in the metropolitan area.
2005
- The U.S. Department of State�s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization presented Noblis with a Small Business Achievement Award for exceeding its small business subcontracting goals for FY2005.
- Fairfax County Division of Solid Waste and Recycling Division presented Noblis with the Fairfax County 2005 Business Recycling Award.
- Noblis was presented the 2005 Quality Supplier Finalist Award by the United States Postal Service. The Quality Supplier Award program provides recognition to suppliers who have made a significant impact towards helping the Postal Service benefit from supply chain management best practices which ultimately helps the Postal Service to effectively achieve its mission of providing mail service to the American public.
