Chemical Weapons: Disposal, Demilitarization, and Nonproliferation

The U.S. Army produced chemical weapons to deter the threat of chemical attacks from foreign forces. These obsolete weapons are now safely stored across the country while they await disposal. In addition, the U.S. Army is responsible for environmentally acceptable and safe disposition of former chemical agent production facilities and recovered chemical weapons. For years, Noblis staff have performed analyses of engineering process, costs, risk, test evaluations, logistics, acquisition, and plant safety. Our support includes evaluating alternative technologies; preparing feasibility studies; and analyzing safety, hazard, and mitigation.
