e-Government
Basically, e-government is the application of the Internet and related technologies to provide more convenient and effective government services to individual citizens and businesses. The goal is to provide government services across a different channel. These services would be utilized by a segment of the citizenry that is, in effect, able to serve themselves. For example, many state workforce agencies have already implemented e-government applications, as pilot programs or as first generation production systems. Others are actively planning to introduce e-government in the very near future.
Noblis has provided support to a number of government organizations across the country as they plan and implement e-government solutions to improved customer service and greater operating efficiency. One example is the One-stop, e-government service concept for providing workforce services to both job seekers and employers. Here both job seekers and employers can obtain a range of services conveniently over the Internet. To provide continuity of service e-government systems usually maintain customer data related to their needs and situation.

The architecture allows for easier integration within exist agency legacy systems and allows for greater reuse of key e-government functional components when developing e-government services. One example of the architecture, developed for state unemployment insurance agencies, is shown below.
