Protecting the environment and preserving vital resources.

At Noblis, we are passionate about making a difference and improving lives. And we have the sophisticated knowledge of science, technology, economics and regulatory processes to find cost-effective, practical and sound solutions to extremely complex and potentially harmful environmental challenges.

Noblis professionals are at work in a wide range of environmental efforts, including:
  • Identifying the safest, smartest ways to destroy decades-old chemical weapons arsenals.
  • Devising new approaches to remediating soil and groundwater and expediting property re-use at military installations scheduled for closure.
  • Developing Noblis-innovated natural methods to eliminate environmental hazards posed by landfills.

Comprehensive approaches to alternative energy futures.

Our research into energy development has continued uninterrupted since America’s first oil crisis back in the early 1970s. Working with the U.S. Department of Energy, we have developed computer simulation models to determine the best possible and most cost-effective processes for generating electric power and liquid transportation fuels from coal, hydrogen and other sources. Our research indicates that America’s vast coal reserves could be used to produce hydrogen and transportation fuels, and substitute natural gas, in quantities that would significantly reduce our dependence on imports from unstable regions.

As concern over the world’s declining oil resources increases, our important work in this field will most certainly continue.

The polyethylene diffusion bag sampler provides an alternative way to sample volatile organic compounds from monitoring wells that is significantly cheaper than existing methods of sample collection.
