Noblis’ engineers and scientists have provided extensive support to national and international oceanographic, ocean engineering, and marine systems communities. In addition to our corporate-sponsored research, we provide effective program design, procurement, and contract management services to our customers:

• Supported the National Ocean Service (NOS) in its mission to ensure the safety and efficiency of maritime commerce
• Reported on nuclear, radiological, biological, and chemical threats in the water for the Naval Space and Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR)
• Developed a concept of operations to defend our ports and maritime infrastructure against terrorist threats
• Assisted the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the establishment and growth of the Office of Ocean Exploration (OE)
• Fostered the creation and growth of the National Coastal Data Development Center
• Provided systems engineering planning and documentation for the Integrated Ocean Observation Systems

Noblis’ contributions in the areas of marine technology and ocean engineering have helped enhance science’s understanding of the world’s oceans and our nation’s marine resources. Armed with this knowledge, our government and the science community are better able to effectively manage these resources in the public interest.
