Recent Strategic Network Initiative
An example of Enterprise Services' strategic value to the General Services Administration (GSA) is its support in response to the OMB mandate for Trusted Internet Connections (TIC). This initiative is intended to consolidate the many thousands of unprotected portals connecting government users to the Internet into a smaller number that can be secured to better protect the government from cyber attacks. The TIC solution was originally envisioned as a complex web of government-managed installations and interconnected networks. Working with GSA, Noblis experts defined a new Managed Transport Internet Protocol Service (MTIPS), which allows the solution to be provided by the Networx contractors as a service, with much simpler administrative characteristics and no loss of security.
