For the past twenty years, Noblis has supported the Army’s program to safely dispose of chemical warfare material (see Chemical Disposal and Counterproliferation for more information). During this time, we have gained an in-depth understanding of the properties of chemical agents, the risks they pose to health and environment, the range of technologies to safely neutralize and destroy chemical weapons material, and the best measures to protect individuals and populations that might be exposed. We have gained expertise in areas such as agent handling, stimulants, chemical analysis, filtration systems, toxicology of agents, and regulatory issues. As a public service, we maintain a web site with recent research data on the chemical and physical properties of chemical agents, as well as background information on biological agents.
