Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
Working with the Noblis Enterprise Services mission area to assess the current operational capability of the IT data center organization and to develop a transformational infrastructure services sourcing strategy to develop an increased ability to respond to evolving business needs more rapidly and efficiently.
US Department of Agriculture Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO)
Conducted an independent verification and validation of the business and operational processes and systems for the information technology services function of the OCIO. Noblis analyzed the IT organization and its relationships with its customer agencies. Over seventy interviews with customers and IT staff were onducted to ensure that policies and processes provide effective and efficient services to customers and that federal mandates including FISMA, HSPD-12, OMB A-123, and OMB130 are implemented.
US Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency (FSA)
Conducted a research study to identify candidate hardware and software platforms to create a comprehensive data warehouse capability for the FSA. Noblis recommended a configuration that would support the consolidation of over twenty existing, disparate data marts into a unified data warehouse environment. The FSA decided to adopt our findings and implement an enterprise data warehouse. Currently, Noblis is creating a program management office to ensure the successful completion of the effort. And, we are managing and coordinating the projects of three organizations:
- USDA OCIO National Information Technology Center (NITC), which is responsible for the installation of the hardware and database management software
- Support Services Contractor (SSC), which is responsible for migrating the existing data marts and databases into an enterprise data warehouse built upon the NITC platform
- Acceptance Test Contractor, which is responsible for conducting independent functional and performance testing of the database infrastructure developed by the SSC
US Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms
Working with the Noblis Enterprise Services mission area, Noblis developed a telecommunications modernization strategy to replace their aging telephone network. A feasibility study was conducted to identify possible options and to select the most desirable alternatives. Then a Request for Information and a Request for Proposal for modernizing the telecommunications was developed. Noblis assisted the proposal evaluation teams, serving as a trusted advisor and technical expert responding to any questions that arose. The end result was a successful contract award without protest.
