Connecting state-of-the-art tools to better protect citizens.
By now, each of us knows someone who has been the victim of identity theft or online fraud. As our lives become more and more digital, we all become more vulnerable—and that holds true whether we’re doing business with a local bank or the federal government. Noblis has pioneered ways to help the federal government keep its online transactions safe for citizens.
Noblis has used constantly evolving biometric, cryptographic and other identity discovery and management technologies to identify and to credential citizens online. Our people were instrumental in inventing the primary system used by the federal government to secure "high-level" online transactions—making sure that when money, sensitive records and private information are at stake, the government knows that the right person was given access. Our work also allows citizens to access government information portals from remote locations while maintaining complete data security.
Each year, this task becomes more daunting and more important. Currently, there are over 5,000 Internet-based information systems in the federal government that provide personalized information and services to individual citizens, with more going online every day. Our efforts have not only enhanced the network security of federal agencies, they have also advanced the science, technology, and industry surrounding cryptography, Public Key Infrastructure and other forms of electronic authentication.
Whether it’s highly classified documents, or your pesonal Social Security files, Noblis is helping to develop and implement the means for making sure that identity proofing, user credentialing, and access control are government and industry watchwords.
