Noblis partners with clients in a journey that begins with strategic insight and innovation and results in enduring impacts.
Noblis appreciates the trust our clients place in us. Our commitment to our clients is confirmed in that we are the company that more than 30 agencies, 30 states, and 300 private healthcare organizations turn to for help in solving their most complex problems. Working in partnership with clients in the public and private sectors we help them tackle such issues as global climate change, energy security, improved healthcare, and protection from threats to liberty and freedom. By leveraging our unsurpassed breadth of industry, domain, and functional expertise, we help clients frame their key strategic issues and translate their visions into actionable plans.
The primary clients we support in Transportation Systems are:
-
The Federal Aviation Administration’s Technical Operations Service, which provides responsive and cost effective maintenance of the National Airspace System facilities, systems, and equipment.
-
The Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office, located in the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration. It researches ways that information and communications technologies can improve surface transportation safety and mobility and contribute to America’s economic growth.
-
The E9-1-1 Implementation Coordination Office, which is a joint effort of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the National Information and Telecommunications Administration. This “National 9-1-1 Office” provides leadership and coordination of comprehensive and technologically enhanced 9-1-1 services.
-
The Traffic Analysis Tools Program in the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Operations. The program strikes a balance between efforts to develop new, improved tools and efforts to facilitate the deployment and use of existing tools that support traffic operations analysis. Noblis is a key partner in the development of guidance materials in structuring meaningful analyses using a decision-driven process, rather than a tool-driven process. Noblis assists FHWA as a part of the Next Generation Simulation (NGSIM) open source research community, facilitating collaborative research among academic researchers, software vendors, and tool users.
-
The Work Zone Mobility and Safety Program in the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Operations. This program strives to "make work zones work better" by providing transportation practitioners with high-quality products, tools, and information that can be used to help improve work zone management, and ultimately reduce congestion and crashes due to work zones. Noblis supports our federal client through software prototyping, data mining, and the development of guidance and interactive workshops implementing best practices in the prediction of work zone impacts through analytical techniques.
-
The Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Office of Research, Innovation and Demonstration. This Office directs FTA’s program for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for Transit which conducts ITS research activities, collaborates with the USDOT ITS Joint Program Office, and provides industry and policy makers with the information, tools and skills to make good business decisions about using ITS technology to benefit public transportation services.
-
The Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) FTA United We Ride office, located in the FTA Office of Program Management. This Office plans and administers United We Ride program activities that utilize technological, institutional and regulatory measures to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of transportation services for people who are transportation-disadvantaged.
-
The Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Operations, Road Weather Management Program. The Road Weather Management Program seeks to improve understanding of the impacts of weather on roadways and promote strategies and tools to mitigate those impacts. Envisioned is a system that provides "Anytime, Anywhere Road Weather Information" for road users and road operating agencies, as well as a robust, competitive market for road weather services.
-
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Office of Analysis, Research and Technology, which tests and deploys innovative roadside practices and technology aimed at reducing the number and severity of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) crashes and which analyzes trends in costs, fatalities and injuries in large truck and bus crashes.
