The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS JPO) has created a repository of ITS Knowledge Resources on the Internet. The website provides a source for ITS decision-makers and stakeholders to identify best practices and obtain cost and benefit data on a full array of ITS projects. The ITS Knowledge Resources include the following components:
Noblis supports the ITS Knowledge Resources by obtaining, analyzing and reporting on research results, generating the ITS costs and benefits databases, creating a repository of ITS lessons learned and conducting outreach activities with the transportation community. The figure below depicts the sources and processes used by Noblis to populate the ITS Knowledge Resources.

By supporting the U.S. DOT’s ability to provide state-of-the-art ITS knowledge to ITS decision-makers, Noblis contributes to the production of a more efficient and effective transportation system.
