On Tuesday, 16 June, the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s (NVTC) Green Technology Committee held their task force meeting on “Reducing and Reporting Your Carbon Footprint” at Noblis.

The NVTC task force is focused on establishing best practices in energy efficiency, sustainability procedures and growing, attracting, and retaining leading "green" technology companies. The goals of the task force are to educate NVTC member companies about best practices in the green technology and energy space, monitor legislation in the Commonwealth that addresses green and energy issues, and work to make Northern Virginia a place that attracts businesses and investments in the green and energy conservation areas.
The co-chair of the NVTC Green Technology Committee is Dr. Lydia Thomas, current Noblis Board of Trustees member and former Noblis President and CEO.
