Noblis Center for Sustainability Manager Robert Edwards will present a paper titled, “The Application of Forensic Chemistry to Environmental Cleanup at DoD Sites” at the 2010 DoD Environmental Monitoring & Data Quality Workshop.
Mr. Edward's presentation will discuss the increasingly important role that forensic chemistry tools are playing in the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites at DoD facilities. His paper will discuss some of the tools, such as Compound-specific Carbon Stable Isotope Analysis, used to investigate bioremediation of chlorinated solvents in groundwater at a DoD site and the benefits of using this approach.
