The Noblis Team–Noblis, the U.S. Green Building Council, and CTG Energetics–Collaborates with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to Deliver Sustainable Facilities Tool
Innovative online resource helps federal agencies and private sector developers utilize cost-effective green building strategies
GSA has rolled out the Sustainable Facilities Tool, a free tool designed to help government and industry personnel identify and prioritize cost-effective, sustainable strategies for workplace projects under 10,000 sq. ft. The tool features a 3-D interactive walkthrough of office interiors and built-in material comparisons, as well as case studies, design guidance, and links to relevant regulations.
Noblis, in conjunction with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and CTG Energetics, developed the Sustainable Facilities Tool for GSA. The Noblis Team offered an integrated sustainability-focused approach with extensive sustainable building and online systems development expertise.
Noblis designed the Sustainable Facilities Tool's technical platform, a custom content management system tailored to assist in building sustainable communities. They were also responsible for overall project management and technical implementation of the online environment. USGBC’s Education and Research department participated in project team workshops and provided expert peer review. CTG Energetics was responsible for the sustainability content and developing the computer-aided design models. Visit GSA's site to learn more about the tool.
