A growing trend in web development is the "mash-up," the practice of pulling various sources of data and web functionality together to create a new service or web application. In this presentation, Blanchard gave an explanation of what a mash-up is, why mash-ups are gaining traction on the web, and how they directly apply to our business.
Blanchard's presentation focused on how mash-ups provide additional context to enhance impact on client missions, speed product development and enhance business development efforts. Additionally, Blanchard explored the current administration's move to open up government data for use in mash-ups. He also revealed a mash-up of his own.
