Our Business
Noblis is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), scientific research and engineering corporation that operates in the public interest. Our expertise in conjunction with our objectivity and independence allows us to effectively address challenges of national significance.
Noblis is distinguished from other scientific research and engineering companies as we refrain from establishing alliances for commercial purposes or competing with vendors; we are free from organizational conflict of interest. Because of these organizational characteristics, Noblis offers our clients a unique capability to evaluate commercial technologies and industrial performance. This allows us to advise clients on technology products and services without the appearance of bias or predilection for a particular solution.
Based on the nature of our contracts and our organizational characteristics, small business subcontracting opportunities under our federal contracts are limited. In instances where opportunities to subcontract exist, Noblis is frequently required to have identified our small business subcontracting suppliers and their roles in advance of prime contract award. Accordingly, Noblis rarely has unfilled requirements for which we have not yet identified qualified small business sources at competitive prices.
Ample opportunity to subcontract with small business exists in support of our Infrastructure activities in areas such as IT hardware and software purchases and maintenance; telecommunications; office supplies; landscaping services; building operations and maintenance; Audio-Visual equipment and services; janitorial and specialized cleaning; to name a few.
