At Noblis’ Center for Health Innovation, we are dedicated to improving the efficiency and efficacy of our nation's healthcare system through applied and translational research. To accomplish this, we draw upon the best minds in the industry—Noblis healthcare professionals who are recognized thought leaders in their fields, as well as our innovative partners in the research community.

Research and Knowledge Dissemination

Modeled after centers established at leading research universities, the Center for Health Innovation embodies Noblis' commitment to developing new insights and knowledge that advance health-related issues and to disseminating that knowledge for the public good.

Through the Center, our professionals analyze and investigate complex health issues based on information and insights gained in working closely with industry leaders in their respective healthcare domain areas.  Recent examples include: the relationship between hospitals and physicians; how to best design, develop and adopt electronic lifelong health records that enable Americans to manage their health and improve continuity of care; and, the need for Pharmacovigilance post-licensing of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biologics to ensure efficacy and safety. Noblis shares the results of the research with the public by frequently publishing results in print or online and delivering findings as oral presentations at healthcare conferences. Some examples of this information-sharing are provided below:

The American Hospital Association (AHA) distributes our breakthrough research-based Strengthening Physician-Hospital Relationships publication, which was created in conjunction with the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD).

Noblis sponsored a forum on Pharmacovigilance where leaders of government, industry, academia and science were invited to come together to identify and prioritize issues, refine a straw-model approach to improve information-sharing, management, and surveillance to increase safety and support greater efficacy.

Noblis' CHI Journal (formerly Horizons: Perspective in Healthcare) and Working Papers Series publications are distributed to thousands of healthcare professionals throughout the United States.

Our award-winning video detailing how Inova Health System manages recalls using Noblis' Risk And Safety Management Alert System (RASMAS) at http://rasmas.noblis.org.

Noblis’ Center for Health Innovation also sponsors National Leaders Forums that convene health leaders in discussions of mutual and national interest.  Examples include:

  • Improving the Healthcare Recall Process
Industry thought leaders convened to address the complex issues surrounding health alerts and recalls.
  • Pharmacovigilence
Creating a forum of agencies who are interested in evaluating, testing, approving, and recalling pharmaceuticals, and that focus on the needs of patients.
