RASMAS is a web-based service that enables healthcare providers and suppliers (manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers) to collaborate and respond to product recalls and alerts with dramatically increased speed, thus lowering administrative costs, mitigating legal risk, and most importantly, improving patient safety.

Implementing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) health information technology products can be very expensive and disruptive to an organization and its care delivery process. A broad management framework is important for the proper selection and implementation of COTS products.
