GSA Sustainable Facilities Tool (SF Tool)

U.S. government officials and industry executives are under pressure to reduce energy consumption in an effort to save money and preserve the environment.

Noblis worked with the General Services Administration (GSA) to create the GSA Sustainable Facilities Tool (SF Tool), a web-based application that helps government and industry personnel identify and prioritize cost effective, sustainable green building strategies. The tool also provides information about green building best practices, helps users select sustainable materials, provides training materials and case studies, and references relevant regulations

The application is the first one-stop tool for learning about sustainable products and services and offers options for both retrofitting and renovating buildings. SF Tool features a three-dimensional interactive virtual office environment with a walk-through of office interiors and a material comparison.

Noblis has been the prime contractor conducting software development of the SF Tool since its inception. SF Tool is currently being used by facility managers, real estate professionals, project managers from government agencies, and private sector developers.
